Located about 3 km from the center of Hoi An Ancient Town, Tra Que Vegetable Village in Cam Ha commune is one of the most famous traditional craft villages in Quang Nam province, with a history of over 300-400 years. It supplies aromatic and clean vegetables to most restaurants, hotels, and residents of Hoi An. The village is surrounded by the De Voong River and a wetland area, creating ideal natural conditions for year-round vegetable cultivation.

What makes Tra Que special is its traditional organic farming method. The villagers do not use chemical fertilizers but instead fertilize their vegetables with seaweed harvested from the lagoons and rivers near the village. The name “Tra Que” originates from a story about a Nguyen Dynasty king who, after tasting the village’s aromatic herbs, noticed a unique fragrance similar to tea and cinnamon, thus naming the area Tra Que.
