Rong May Glass Bridge is part of the Rong May Ecotourism Area, located in the O Quy Ho Pass area, in Son Binh Commune, Tam Duong District, Lai Chau Province under the former administrative boundaries.
The attraction is approximately 17โ20 km from Sapa town center, making it convenient to include in a Sapa โ O Quy Ho Pass โ Lai Chau sightseeing itinerary.
The bridge is situated near the area commonly known as the โO Quy Ho Heaven Gateโ, along the scenic mountain road connecting Sapa with Lai Chau.
From here, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, deep valleys, lush green slopes and, when weather conditions are favorable, spectacular layers of clouds floating below the mountains.
2. The History and Development of Rong May Glass Bridge
Rong May Glass Bridge was developed as part of the Thac Trang โ Hoang Lien Son Mountain Tourism Project, invested in by Hoang Lien Son Group Joint Stock Company.
Construction began in January 2018, with a reported total investment of approximately VND 1,000 billion. The overall project includes various facilities such as hotels, resorts, elevators, a glass bridge, swimming pools and entertainment areas.
Among these facilities, the outdoor glass elevator system and Rong May Glass Bridge are the most distinctive attractions.
Building the complex in a high-altitude mountainous environment presented significant challenges. Construction teams had to transport and install modern equipment in difficult terrain and under demanding weather conditions.
On November 16, 2019, Rong May Ecotourism Area officially opened its first phase to visitors.
Since then, the attraction has quickly become a popular destination for both domestic and international travelers and an important highlight along the Sapa โ O Quy Ho Pass โ Lai Chau route.

The bridge deck is constructed using a system of multiple layers of reinforced transparent glass.
According to information from Lai Chau tourism authorities, the glass floor consists of three layers of glass bonded together with specialized adhesive, with a total thickness of more than 7 centimeters.
